“Udaya – Investment and Innovation for Economic Development is a collaborative initiative between the Government of Nepal and Switzerland. The project aims to enhance the framework conditions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Koshi Province. Udaya provides SMEs with access to essential business development services, including financial management, accounting, and marketing. Additionally, it offers vouchers for loan applications. To address the lack of SME-focused services in Koshi Province, the project establishes a technical assistance facility. This facility improves business development services and strengthens SME lending. Furthermore, Udaya aims to create a risk-reduction mechanism for banks and financial institutions, potentially through a guarantee fund. Lastly, the project develops an interactive digital information portal, serving as a comprehensive resource for SMEs
